If you are an advisor working with Jackson National Life Insurance Company, it’s likely that you have a lot of personal contact with your representative and support from the company. According to a Cogent Research study, both advisors and prospective advisors working with Jackson National said that Jackson offers the best personal connection to them. Michigan’s Herald Online published the press release “Jackson Named Variable Annuity Firm with the Strongest Personal Connection with Advisors and Prospects.” Cogent’s Advisors Touchpoints 2012 survey was conducted on 1,741 advisors who manage at least $5 million in active business. The advisors not only said Jackson had the best personal connection, but also the best internal and external support.
Of course, Jackson is very proud of these results and says that their sales force has been trained in commitment to their advisors. Nearly half of advisors currently working with Jackson said that their strongest personal connection was with them and 11% of prospects said that Jackson offered the best personal connection. Jackson has a strong focus on distribution, part of the reason they ranked tops in the national and independent channels as well as with advisors carrying over $100 million in assets. They have the most client activity of all variable annuity providers. In the last three months, 65% of advisors had a visit from one of Jackson’s external wholesalers. Internal wholesalers had made phone calls to 73% of the advisors within the last six months.
Jackson has a strong focus on educating their employees and passing that information down through the distribution channels. They get the information on trends in the industry, new products, product alternatives, and new tools that will help advisors to them as quickly as they can. The flow of information from wholesalers to advisors to investors is something they are constantly focused on. With one of the largest and best trained staffs in the industry, Jackson is able to focus on quantity as well as quality. Their personal connection is strengthened through more visits and phone calls with their advisors.
